baby talk

“Abba. Abba. Abba.”
Jude keeps saying Abba. All the time Abba. While he’s playing with his blocks. While he’s eating his Toastie O’s. While he’s riding in his car seat. Even as he drifts to sleep.
I know he doesn’t know what he’s saying, what his baby talk means. But there’s something in it and it is not wasted on me.
“Whoever becomes simple and elemental again. like this child, will rank high in God’s kingdom.”
- Gospel of Matthew 18:4 (The Message)

my baby only grunts and makes strange noises. but i learn more about God’s love by holding her in my arms than she could teach me with her words anyway.
Wow. I love this. How incredible to think that his Father is hearing it every time, and smiling upon his growth and your whole family.
These 2 verses came to mind while reading this.
Jude, I think has had conversations before with Abba!!
“The Lord called me before my birth. From within the womb he called me by my name…He said to me, `You are my servant’…” (Isaiah 49:1,3 )
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13).
Love to you and that precious boy
