Krista Finch is not a renown speaker. Or a leading leader. Or a woman of particular influence. She doesn’t have degrees, awards, or credentials. Her expertise is of a different sort.

She has been writing for 16 years with a few of those years spent singing and songwriting in Nashville. While songwriting expanded her ability to tell stories, Krista realized her place was not on a stage and she went back to school to complete her Bachelors in English and Writing.

Upon graduating, Krista worked as a staff writer and, later, a marketing writer before her husband Jason urged her to begin freelance writing full time.

“Without the promise of a dime, he believed in me, in my potential, in dreams I didn’t even know I had. Jason’s belief in me and my work always surprises and inspires me.”

And now, two years into this writing thing, motivated by a love for the written word and the desire to connect with people, Krista has released her first published book, As Is.

Krista’s genuine voice is sprinkled wtih fiery sarcasm, sharp wit and a unique angle on life as she digs into the tension of the already and not-yet, grace and truth, brokenness and beauty, mundane and majestic.

In addition to As Is, Krista and Jason have started Swerve Press publishing company.

“We have something to say about life, culture, grace and love. We think others like us have something to say, too. We want to give passionate, wise and curious authors a place to tell stories, ask questions, and connect with humanity.”

Krista and Jason live simply in Nashville, Tennessee, where they dream, create, listen and love. Krista doesn’t know much with great certainty. What she does know is how much she enjoys rain, how insanely she adores her husband and son, and how ferociously she is loved by God.
