If a book makes me laugh and has at least one four-letter word in the first five pages, chances are I’m going to like it. I like this book. In these pages, I find the Miller I’ve come to know and love: see-through, hilarious and oh-so-relate-able.
There are countless books on Jesus Christ, but the thing I love best about Yancey’s perspective is that, as much as humanly possible, he has come at Jesus with fresh eyes…as if he’s an alien from another place and time who knows nothing of the Jewish carpenter who has rocked all of creation and history. A life-changing book, indeed.
