The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis – I’m not sure how I feel about this one yet. It’s Lewis, so of course it’s imaginative and captivating, brilliant and memorable. No one creates a scene and leaves the mark of it lingering on your heart and mind like Lewis. But it’s also a book that leaves many questions unanswered, which I struggle with to some degree. Then again, you have to give Lewis credit for even tackling the subject of heaven and hell. Who can even begin to imagine the depths of such a place and then dare to put words to it?
